Setup guide

Connect Google Analytics access

To verify a domain, grant Viewer-level access to the SimpleSiteWatch analytics address and connect the correct GA4 property from My domains.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Google Analytics and select the correct GA4 property for the website you want to monitor.
  2. Go to Admin, then open Property access management or the equivalent access screen in your GA4 view.
  3. Add simplesitewatch@gmail.com as a Viewer.
  4. Return to SimpleSiteWatch and open My domains.
  5. Choose the relevant domain, click Connect analytics, and enter the GA4 Property ID.
  6. After access is confirmed, the status should move to Verified.

Before you start

  • Use the property that matches the domain you want monitored.
  • Make sure the access is added to the same Google account or service identity shown above.
  • Allow a little time after granting access before trying to verify again.

If it still does not verify

  • Check that the property ID is correct.
  • Confirm the email address was added exactly as shown.
  • Remove and re-add access if the property permissions look inconsistent.
  • Contact support and include the domain name and the property ID you used.
